Giveaway Terms & Conditions

Unless otherwise stated in the specific campaign details, giveaways are open only to individuals who:

• Are legal residents of Canada
• Are at least 19 years of age at the time of entry
• Have a valid email address
• Comply with all giveaway instructions and eligibility requirements
• Are not employees, contractors, agents, representatives, or immediate family members of The Couve or any party involved in administering the giveaway

Some giveaways may have additional eligibility requirements based on the prize, event, venue, location, age restrictions, or applicable laws. The Couve reserves the right to verify eligibility before awarding any prize.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win a giveaway.

Unless otherwise stated in the campaign details, eligible participants may enter by following the entry instructions provided for the applicable giveaway. Where an Instagram, email, or platform-specific action is used as an entry method, The Couve may also provide an alternate no-purchase entry method upon request.

Purchasing a product, service, subscription, or real estate service from The Couve does not increase the odds of winning unless expressly permitted by law and clearly stated in the campaign details.

Each giveaway may include its own campaign details, including:

• Campaign name
• Start date and time
• End date and time
• Prize description
• Approximate retail value
• Entry method
• Bonus entry rules
• Winner selection method
• Winner notification or announcement method
• Winner response deadline
• Required skill-testing question
• Platform-specific rules
• Additional restrictions or requirements

The Couve reserves the right to interpret and apply the campaign details in its sole discretion, acting reasonably and in accordance with applicable law.

Entry methods vary by giveaway and may include, but are not limited to:

• Completing a signup form
• Providing a valid email address
• Following The Couve on Instagram
• Liking a giveaway post
• Commenting on a giveaway post
• Tagging friends in a comment
• Sharing a post to a story
• Reposting campaign content
• Responding to a direct message
• Completing another action described in the campaign details
• If your account is private please send a screenshot via Instagram DM

Entries must be complete, accurate, and submitted during the applicable campaign period. Late, incomplete, fraudulent, automated, or non-compliant entries may be disqualified.

Some giveaways may allow bonus entries. Bonus entry methods may include, but are not limited to:

• Additional valid tagged comments
• Sharing a giveaway post to a story
• Reposting campaign content
• Participating in additional The Couve giveaways
• Completing other actions described in the campaign details

Bonus entries are only valid if they comply with the campaign instructions and can be reasonably verified by The Couve. Private accounts, expired stories, deleted posts, invalid tags, inaccessible content, or unverifiable actions may not count as bonus entries.

Bonus entries may increase an entrant's odds of selection but do not guarantee winning.

Winner selection varies by giveaway. Depending on the campaign details, winners may be selected by:

• Random draw
• Weighted random draw
• Judging criteria
• First eligible response
• Manual review
• Another stated selection method

For weighted random draws, each valid entry or bonus entry may increase an entrant's odds of being selected. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and, where applicable, the number of valid bonus entries.

The Couve's decisions regarding entries, eligibility, bonus entries, winner selection, and prize fulfillment are final and binding.

Before being declared an official winner, a selected entrant may be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance, mechanical aid, or electronic aid.

If the selected entrant fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, fails to respond within the required time, or is otherwise found ineligible, The Couve may disqualify that entrant and select another eligible entrant.

Winner notification and/or announcement methods vary by campaign. Depending on the giveaway, The Couve may notify or announce winners by:

• Email
• Instagram direct message
• Instagram story
• Instagram post
• Website announcement
• Phone
• Another method stated in the campaign details

Selected entrants must respond within the timeframe stated in the campaign details. If no timeframe is stated, the selected entrant must respond within 48 hours of notification.

Failure to respond, provide required information, confirm eligibility, or complete the skill-testing question may result in disqualification.

By entering a giveaway and providing an email address, you consent to receive giveaway administration messages from The Couve, including entry confirmations, winner notifications, eligibility requests, and prize-related communications.

You may also receive marketing communications, platform updates, real estate content, event announcements, and future giveaway opportunities from The Couve where consent has been provided.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in our emails. Unsubscribing from marketing communications may not prevent The Couve from sending necessary giveaway administration messages related to an active giveaway entry.

The Couve will handle email communications in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation and applicable privacy laws.

By entering a giveaway, you acknowledge that The Couve may collect and use information such as:

• Name
• Email address
• Instagram username
• Social media interactions
• Comment text
• Tagged handles
• Entry count
• Bonus entry activity
• Eligibility information
• Winner confirmation information

This information may be used to:

• Administer the giveaway
• Verify entries
• Contact selected entrants
• Confirm eligibility
• Deliver or coordinate prizes
• Prevent fraud or abuse
• Maintain audit records
• Send marketing communications where permitted

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Prizes vary by giveaway and will be described in the applicable campaign details. Unless otherwise stated:

• Prizes are non-transferable
• Prizes have no cash equivalent
• No substitutions are permitted except at The Couve's discretion
• The Couve may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable
• Winners are responsible for any costs not expressly included in the prize description

For event-based prizes, including tickets, winners are responsible for complying with all venue, event, age, identification, security, and admission requirements. The Couve is not responsible for event cancellation, postponement, denied entry, travel, accommodation, food, beverage, parking, or other expenses unless expressly stated.

The Couve reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

• Provides false, incomplete, or misleading information
• Uses fake, duplicate, automated, or bot accounts
• Attempts to manipulate the giveaway
• Submits spam, abusive, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Tags irrelevant, fake, inactive, or non-consenting accounts
• Deletes required entry actions before verification
• Uses a private account that prevents verification
• Violates these Terms & Conditions
• Violates the rules of the applicable platform
• Acts in a manner that The Couve determines may harm the integrity, fairness, or reputation of the giveaway

The Couve may remove, ignore, or disqualify entries that cannot be verified.

Giveaways may be promoted or administered through third-party platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, email platforms, or other services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, Facebook, FIFA, any event organizer, venue, team, league, developer, brokerage, or third-party platform.

By entering a giveaway administered through Instagram or Meta platforms, entrants release Instagram, Meta, and Facebook from any liability related to the giveaway.

Entrants are responsible for complying with the terms and policies of any platform used to enter or participate.

The Couve is not responsible for:

• Platform outages
• API failures
• Delayed messages
• Missed notifications
• Deleted comments
• Expired stories
• Private account restrictions
• Email delivery issues
• Spam filtering
• Internet or device issues
• Incorrect or unavailable contact information
• Errors caused by third-party platforms or service providers

The Couve may use reasonable judgment and available records to determine eligibility and entry counts.

The Couve reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate any giveaway if fraud, technical issues, platform changes, legal requirements, operational issues, or circumstances beyond our control affect the fairness, integrity, or proper administration of the giveaway.

If a giveaway is cancelled or modified, The Couve may select a winner from eligible entries received before the cancellation or modification, where appropriate.

By entering a giveaway, entrants agree that The Couve, Dallas Dakota Personal Real Estate Corporation, affiliates, partners, service providers, employees, contractors, representatives, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, claim, cost, or expense arising from participation in a giveaway or acceptance, use, misuse, or inability to use a prize.

All prizes are provided "as is" without warranties, representations, or guarantees of any kind, except where prohibited by law.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Any disputes relating to a giveaway shall be resolved in British Columbia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

The Couve may update these General Giveaway Terms & Conditions at any time. The version posted at the time of entry will apply to that specific giveaway unless otherwise required by law.

Continued participation in a giveaway constitutes acceptance of the applicable terms.
