FIFA Vancouver Fan Festival Guide: Concerts, Food, Transit And What To Know

A local guide to FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver at the PNE, with concerts, food vendors, transit tips, ticket options, family amenities and visitor info.

The biggest mistake is treating FIFA Fan Festival™ Vancouver as a side event. For most locals, this is the easiest way to feel the World Cup without a BC Place ticket.

From June 11 to July 19, 2026, the PNE Grounds at Hastings Park become Vancouver’s official free FIFA Fan Festival site, with live match broadcasts, concerts, food, family activities, interactive fan zones and premium upgrades for people who want a guaranteed Amphitheatre spot.

Vancouver FWC 26

The festival runs across 28 days, with more than 70 FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches broadcast live across the site, 100+ hours of match viewing and 120+ artist performances. Think less “watch party in a corner” and more “temporary soccer city” built around music, food, screens and public gathering space.

The core pitch is simple: general festival access is free, but some Amphitheatre experiences are ticketed. That matters because the best strategy depends on what you want. Casual match viewing, family time and food truck browsing can be done on free admission. A guaranteed Amphitheatre seat, fast-track entry or a big concert night will likely mean buying ahead.

The PNE Amphitheatre And Concert Lineup

The renewed PNE Amphitheatre is the festival’s anchor. The Host Committee describes Hastings Park as home to a brand-new 10,000-capacity Amphitheatre, which will serve as one of the main places for match viewing and headline entertainment.

General admission floor access to the Amphitheatre is free, but limited and first-come, first-served. Premium ticket options add guaranteed full-day site and Amphitheatre access, in-and-out privileges and fast-track entry. Ticket types include reserved seats with assigned views and general admission lawn tickets for a more relaxed setup.

The two big Signature Concert Experiences land on non-match days: Mötley Crüe with Finger Eleven and Toque on July 12, then Kx5, the deadmau5 and Kaskade project, with SG Lewis, Grayson Repp and Shades of Day on July 17. Match-day headliners across the festival also include artists such as Alan Doyle, Arkells, Bob Moses, Chromeo, Dallas Smith, Down With Webster, Feist, Flo Rida, Jade Eagleson, Kaytranada, Metric, Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, The Funk Hunters, The Glorious Sons, Walk off the Earth and Ziggy Marley.

What You Can Do Inside The Festival

This is not just screens and standing room. The festival includes interactive activations, partner experiences, official merchandise, photo moments, live music, Park Stage programming and family-friendly spaces. The activity list includes RoboKeeper, where fans test a shot against a robotic goalkeeper, Paintillio, a giant paint-by-number mural, Subsoccer and football Skee-Ball.

Families get a dedicated Family Hub with stroller parking, a nursing area, changing tables, family washrooms and a Sensory Nook for guests who need a calmer, lower-stimulation break from the crowds. Accessibility supports include step-free entry, accessible washrooms, accessible viewing areas and Hidden Disabilities Sunflower wristbands while supplies last.

Food And Drink

The food program is one of the stronger reasons to go even when your favourite team is not playing. The site is split into themed food areas:

The Vineyard is inspired by B.C. wine regions, with open-air patio seating, local fare, BC cheese and charcuterie, flatbreads and breakfast sandwiches. The Neighbourhood leans into Vancouver street festival energy, with vendors including Peacock by Vij’s, NUBA, La Taqueria, Paella Guys & Co, Riz Sushi, MunChi German Food, Chouchou Crepes and Rosie’s Rotisserie.

The Campground sits near the Amphitheatre with Truckin’ BBQ, Gary’s Kettlecorn and Roasted Revolution. The Backyard is the family-friendly green space with Pastaria by Pastaggio, Japadog, Rosie’s BBQ, Berry Sweet, Ranallo’s-Autentico Pizza and Casereccio Gelato. The wider food truck program includes more than 30 B.C. vendors, with names like Lee’s Donuts, Dos Amigos, Taco Nori, REEL Mac and Cheese, Mr. Shawarma, Aloha Poke, Macondo Colombian Cuisine, Turkish Street Kitchen and Mom’s Grilled Cheese.

The site is cashless for most purchases, with major credit and debit cards accepted. One exception worth noting: guests are encouraged to bring a small amount of cash for Indigenous artisan vendors on site.

How To Get There, Parking And Transit

TransLink to run FIFA World Cup Fan Festival express bus to PNE every five minutes | Daily Hive | Urbanized

Driving should be the last option. Parking is limited, and organizers are pushing transit, walking, biking, rolling, taxi, rideshare and carpooling as the main ways to reach the PNE.

Transit will be the cleanest move for most people. The 11 Fan Festival Express bus will run between 29th Avenue Station on the Expo Line, Renfrew Station on the Millennium Line and the festival site, with increased service during peak periods. The R5 Hastings RapidBus and other nearby routes will also serve the area.

Cycling is a real option too. Two free full-service bike valets will operate near Gates 4 and 14 during daily festival hours, with the north valet at Callister Park and the south valet near Hastings Community Centre. Note the important exception: Bike Valet North is not operational on July 12 and 17, while Bike Valet South is scheduled to operate on all festival days.

For free general festival access, organizers recommend arriving at least one hour before major match broadcasts and performances. Premium ticket holders should plan for 30 to 60 minutes before kickoff to allow time for entry, security and seating.

What To Bring And What To Skip

Travel light. Bags larger than 30 cm by 30 cm by 15 cm are not permitted, and all bags and hand-carried items are subject to inspection. Guests can bring one empty non-glass, non-metal refillable water bottle up to 1 L, mobile phones, small flags without poles, hand sanitizer and sunscreen within the posted size limits.

Leave the annoying stuff at home: lawn chairs, umbrellas, wagons, outside food and drink, glass containers, cans, laptops, tablets, drones, selfie sticks, professional camera gear and oversized bags are not allowed. Filtered water stations will be available throughout the grounds, and paid phone charging stations will be near lost and found and info booths at Gates 1 and 4.

Other Tournament Experiences Around Vancouver

The PNE is the main free festival hub, but it is not the only place where the tournament will show up. Vancouver is hosting seven matches at BC Place, and the official Match Day Spectator Route begins at Main Street-Science World Station, then follows the False Creek waterfront toward the stadium. It opens to ticket holders and non-ticket holders four hours before kickoff on match days.

Granville Street between Georgia and Davie will become a pedestrian zone from June 11 to July 20, 2026, and the area around BC Place will see temporary road closures and local-traffic-only restrictions on match days. That is good for atmosphere, bad for last-minute driving plans.

North Shore fans also get Canada Soccer House at The Shipyards in North Vancouver, a free official Canada Soccer fan destination with live broadcasts, partner activations, retail pop-ups and chances to meet Canadian soccer figures on select dates. Science World is adding another soccer stop with Soccer & Technology from the FIFA Museum, running May 15 to September 7, 2026.

The Couve Takeaway

For visitors, the Fan Festival is the easiest way to get the Vancouver World Cup experience without needing a match ticket. For locals, it is also the practical choice: free entry, transit access, local food, family amenities and enough music programming to make it more than a one-game outing.

The best plan is simple. Pick the match or concert day first. Check the daily schedule. Take transit or bike. Arrive early if you want free Amphitheatre access. Bring a small bag, a permitted water bottle and a payment card. Then treat the PNE as the main public square for Vancouver’s World Cup summer.
